Start by disabling windows integration if enabled previously. Uninstalling and reinstalling the software is not a gamble. I'm sure all of this is seems like a waste of time, but we have zero insight beyond what you've said above. Why have you been running chkdsk? Do you have file system errors or have you been notified/suspect there is physical damage to your drive? What does properties for these errors state? Have you reviewed the System Event Log. While the image you provided indicates a problem with some of the installed components, no one but you knows what they are. If a later build is available, it's often best to install it from the get go without upgrading from one build to the next. You can download the latest build from your Acronis User Account. We realize this has been an ongoing issue for you, but your post lacks some information which might help others suggest ways to solve your issue.įirst, what build of 2013 are you running? Is it the latest build available. My real concern is that due to this driver issue, i am not sure i can rely on my backups that have been done so far as some of them i cant even get into the file and if i load acronis now it takes for every if at all to load the backup file to open it!!!!! How do i fix this issue as i am not going to buy the new version of Acronis if it has gone like every other piece of software before it when it gets to bloated for its own good. What sort of software allows this to happen that the user is basically trapped in being able to fix this problem, damn if you do damn if you dont. You should just reinstalled windows from scratch and dont load acronis back on due to its bloated state, find another backup software. I have been reading lots about uninstalling acronis so i hope to fix the problem but most people say dont bother as it will stuff up your windows installation and you wont be able to use your pc/laptop. Please see attached screen dump of my device manager. If i dont have my usb drive that Acronis backs up to attached to laptop and i close down acronis scheduling then i never get the BSOD issue. I am using Acronis 2013 and i have been struggling to find out why my laptop (which is only 1yr 2 mths old is chucking a BOSD.Īfter a few weeks of chkdsk ing and googling BSOD info, it has been finally identifed as the acronis drivers which are causing this problem.
